Our chess hero Kasperov gets attacked by… oh, it’s not often you get to write the following words in sequence, a remote controlled rubber dong helicopter. A flying Penis. A hovering dildo. An RC wang. What? You don’t believe me? Cast your eyes upon the airborne latex prosthetic and see for yourself:

So I discovered time lapse photography. I really like it. Here’s my first attempt in lovely video form :) There’s a slight error in the title. Where it says 3 seconds per frame it’s actually 3frames per image. Not having used iMove before I didn’t quite realise what units the measurements were in.
You can download the video here in Quicktime format (Right click and save as)

Are you a mad scientist? You you dabble in physics perhaps? Enjoy building stuff up and up and then applying a small force to a particular spot and watch gravity take control? If so, then this physics sandbox called phun will certainly sort you out. Website

Probably not the correct terminology, but it’s what the video is called. It’s also more snappy then coin-falling-over-chain-reaction-demonstration or something. Anyhows… with a bit of money (quite a bit of money). Lots of spare time, patience and a steady hand you can reproduce this video no problem :)
Enjoy.

You’ve probably heard of Thomas Doyle, or at least seen some of his work. Well there’s a new installment now and I am loving it. Now I’m concerned about getting sued by McDonalds, but I will take my chances here.
The latest works feature installations in glass domes and they look terrific. Click the pic or this link and check out the rest of the galleries.

and the many ways to put them on. And you should. I for one am glad for pants. It means that I don’t have to look at a multitude of people not wearing them. Which is nice. In pretty much most cases. So you know how the saying goes: “I put my pants on like the rest of you. One leg at a time.” - Bruce Dickinson (More Cowbell). What if though you figure out a completely different way of doing it? Like, I dunno, both legs at the same time say. If you did manage that, what would you do? Would you think about what to do with the extra time you now have? Would you perhaps just do it for fun, because it takes the mundanity out of a repetitive task? No. Of course not. You’d figure out how to do that same task in a slightly different, more challenging manner. Then, you’d get yourself a camera and video yourself doing it. Over and over and over again. We all know what happens when something gets filmed. Yup, it ends up on YouTube. Enjoy another “look at me and what I can do” video….

Yeah, this is going to be one of those boring posts. You can tell because it’s in the site news category. Yawn. But there’s been a lull in posts. AGAIN! I am so shite at updating sometimes. However I did upgrade to wordpress 2.5 something or other and I’m not sure the admin backend was such a good upgrade. It’s a bit sucky and web2.0 if you know what I mean. Plus I am currently sans internet at home and thus updates are few and far between. I promise that normal service will resume soon!
Cheers for reading, stop by again soon
